Thanks, man. Glad you like the video! ;-) I only put it on vimeo, because i was afraid of the haters over at youtube. haha ;) Radioactive toy is awesome, no question about it. But i was a bit overplayed at all the last SW shows i've been to. I would rather see him perform Nine Cats. Or some crazy stuff like Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape. :D

Cheers mate! Saw your comment on SW's Collecting space, and i couldn't agree more. Then i come here, and the last track you've listed to is Dipole Experiment by Evpatoria Report... Haha i absolutely LOVE that track. Also pretty cool to see Frusciante - Central so high up on your list! Greetings from Germany!

your feelings seem to be pretty much what i'm hearing from several of my friends.... i was very excited about the free track but then you realize A Brain in a Box is truly the highlight track after you hear the entire album.... still, it's better than no Thom album at all ^_^

Kishi Bashi is an artist who bears strong influences in both the modern and classic rock scene, so there's two separate groups of artists to go by. If you like the modern aspect of his music, I recommend listening to Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens, and Of Montreal. For the latter group, I'd go with Electric Light Orchestra and early-70s Yes.

I'm glad you liked it! I like listening to Kishi Bashi's music on warm, sunny days and when I'm feeling a little sad. His first album is pretty much flawless to me, so I had very high expectations when he released his new album back in May. Not only did he reach those expectations, but he threw in a much stronger prog influence in the music this time around. I hear shades of ELO and Yes in a lot of the material on Lighght. I also recommend looking up videos of him performing live. He does it all with his violin, loop pedal and voice. It's amazing to watch.

Über mich

I'm trying to do too many things at the same time. Also an aspiring polyglot (3.5)

"We're at a time when we are being presented with undeniable changes in the global climate and fundamental issues that affect every single one of us, and it's the time we're listening to the most hokey shite on the radio and watching vacuous bullshit celebrities being vacuous bullshit celebrities and desperately trying to forget about everything. Which is fine, you know, but personally speaking, I can't do that."
-Thom Yorke

Seen Live:
Mono - 10/1/2015 (Sendai)
