Ron Jarzombek, nice. I've never heard anything else he's done outside of Watchtower.

Just listened to it. Had no supernatural or trancelike experiences, but I did like it. Especially the last track with Dan's chanting is very effective. It is a completely different beast from his last album of course, but I knew that beforehand, luckily. That second track, by the way, made me quite uncomfortable after a while, but maybe that's the point. Either way, it did something to me, which makes it interesting.

Well, it's a good thing because it makes me want to listen to Big Blood more again, and I really should :) I'm definitely going to check out Deconstructionist quickly, but I have to be in the right mood. I like your picture on the right.

Wow, you surpassed my Big Blood playcount in one day! I listen to music in a very fragmented way, because there's so much I want to listen to/like, and because I am always afraid of ruining something beautiful by overplaying it. I see you're also listening to Natural Snow Buildings :) By the way, did you check out Deconstructionist by Giles Corey? I have it but the description made me a little bit anxious about listening.

i was curious about the production of noah23's occult trill albums last year and looked up some of the producers. turns out it was a new genre that totally passed me over. "witch house". retarded name but it's produced a lot of awesome songs. that chrisare album (the p△st is nøw) was mediocre and only had two decent songs, the black ceiling album (†EENWVFF) had a couple of good songs. i'd probably recommend the latter if i had to choose one. but a really good witch house album is GuMMy†Be▲R! - Inauspicious. that one i would highly recommend

i actually hadn't! i just listened to it now, it was pretty meh. still, i paid him 20 dollars for it, just as an appreciation for his past work and for coming out of his fake retirement

Try Dark Country Magic, by Big Blood. All their albums are freely available here, by the way: http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Big_Blood/

Haha after I wrote this I checked out Exuma's page and it had Comus, Big Blood and Giles Corey as similar artists, so you could have probably figured it out yourself.

Thanks for the tips, I'll look into them. I heard a lot about Shabazz Palaces already, should really check them out sometime. Dark folky stuff: I assume you mean things in the vein of Giles Corey? I don't know what you do and do not know but I really liked Matt Elliott's The Broken Man, that is definitely dark folky. Of course there's neofolk like Current 93 but that's quite different and to be honest I dislike a lot of that stuff (though there's definitely good neofolk music). Personally I would really recommend Big Blood, they're not dark dark, but they mix free folk with drone/ambient influences and they have a really great sound. Then there's older folkies like Simon Finn, do you know him? He has this one song called Jerusalem that is unlike anything I've ever heard, or perhaps like a really bad trip. In that vein, Comus and Exuma are also very much recommended if you don't know them yet.

Alright, cool! I have a policy of not just accepting random friend requests, it seems kind of silly and useless to me that way. So I had to shout first ;-) Can you recommend any rappers like Sole to me (apart from the Anticon-school, which I either know or is heavily featured in my recommendations)?

I would have to agree with you! I love Skelethon. I think it might be Aesop's best! I have no idea why some people are talking smack about it.
