Good timing on Sleater-Kinney being back, I missed that train the first time around. Just a good rock band period. Glad you enjoyed Phonem. I've never heard anything like Hydro Electric!. Also, if you can get past the album cover, the Tandoori Dog release by Muslimgauze is another recent good find. It's of the loud rhythmic variety that characterises his late 90s releases, which I prefer greatly over the spacey stuff. It's a 4 disc vinyl set, but the first two records have been re-released on cd as "Tandoor Dog" in 2013 and "Jaagheed Zarb" in 2008. Good stuff.

You'll recognise some sounds in there. I think his discography is over 100 by now. This one is cool because it came out while he was alive and he was the only one compiling it. Not that the posthumous releases aren't great but there's usually better continuity on pre 2000 records.

Hey Deato, you should check out Box Of Silk And Dogs, the 9 disc release from Muslimgauze from '99. My favourite stuff for sure.

Thanks Deato, and I totally agree that Iffernaut adds a lot to the live show. Good sound makes all the difference :) Glad you got to see Zach and Tom onstage together, that's probably a very rare event.

Great, just my luck. He finally (possibly) comes to Ireland the year I have to go off to Wales (and let's face it, no one comes to Wales). Life is suffering.. existence is pain... haha. Thanks for the info though, I really appreciate it.

Yep love the Muslimgauze. I tend to like the mid to late 90s stuff the best, but you know how it is with his discography, even if you listen to a dozen releases you haven't even scratched the surface. Have you seen this release? Glad you got to see the stargazers already. I'm not really a "psychedelic rock" fan so I enjoy them more as an MBV type thing.

those Stargazer Lilies are good eh? the guitar player does the craziest solo I've ever heard at the end of their set. bought their vinyl, the album has withstood repeated listens.
