21. Jan. 2009, 8:43Improvement of language (no matter written or spoken) is always on the move. During the decades people always improve their talk in order to suit them better, so they can describe emotions about anything faster and more specificaly. That´s normal. But talk has been usually modified by adults, while kids were left behind to play and study and shut up about serious matters like language. Not that internet talk. When you look what are the new words, that you see throughout the net, you must think seriously, what kind of children must create those masterpieces. We have stuff like kvlt and brootal which are really harmless pieces of nonsense, that won´t hurt anyone.. And sometimes even funny. But the stuff that really gets my blood boil is the word overrated.
It means that some aspect or the band on the whole is much more listened, than it deserves to be. That´s a funny paradox at it´s own. Because in comparism to what?
Another bands? Some quality scales stated, that no one even knows what that scale is? Or to prefferences to the user? So why using so stupid, probably american term, when you can say it normally like: "I Think In Flames are now listened too much." - isn´t it sound better? Of course don´t forget to say why.. Otherwise, you just saying shit without even argumentation. And that´s stuff children does, people.. When I see people claim to be adults, using these nonsense childish words, I always fall into letargy. What´s the matter iwith us? Did we really forget how normal was talk before using this shitty crap? Or all people on last.fm and PC are kids masqued as adults? I hope not.. And hope this thinking won´t get any worse. But I doubt it.
27. Okt. 2008, 15:05I am sure we all have our favorite song - song that changed not only our lives, but also a view to the music in global. I have to listen to the music called Metal for like 11 years or so, to discover mine.
It all seems to be ordinary listening to one cd one day came to my slimy hands. When I was searching for some new music (not sure throughout which band, might be Amon Amarth back then) I suddenly discovered band named Insomnium. I was stone sure in my opinion, those were latvian boys playing.
It turned out to be Finnish masters.
I have to apologize for my opinion, which I´ve stated before, that Finland is mostly area for metal kids (Kalmah, Warmen, COB etc.) and man can´t find anything adult in the land of Thousand Lakes. Since I´ve started to discover thousands of bands throughout the years, I can say, you sure can.
First CD I´ve ever heard was Above The Weeping World sometime in 2006. I instantly loved Killjoy and Drawn To Black. So powerful and well-played songs, with quality I haven't heard for a long time.
When I approached 7th track of the album, called "Last Statement" I wasn ´t stunned especially. I wasn´t impressed by a first riff in the song, which seems kinda average to me. But hell how I was wrong!!
Next time I was playing some random computer game whilelistening to the ATWW in winamp, strange and great sound appeared to me in one place.. "What the f.., this is great!" was my first reaction probably. I did instantly shut down everything and just listened almost without breathing. That beauty it is!
Since then, there were times I´ve been listening to nothing but this song for an entire week. No kidding.. This is one of the best songs written ever and after so much time I´m still recovering from my stupidity...
Long Live Insomnium, you simply own.
That´s all I have to say... Try it at all costs, even if you don´t like growls.. won´t regret it!!

2. Okt. 2008, 8:00I am not a huge fan of last.fm studies articles submitted by some users recently, in order to bring some philosophical
or rational view of the person to some problem.. Still recently I´ve encountered so many whiny comments, that I have actually to
write this, sorry in advance to those i might offend (because they do that)..
Actually the main thing that brought me to this pamflet is whining about two once great atmospheric/melodic black (gothic)
metal formations: specifically Cradle of Filth and Graveworm.. Comments like "Those two bands sold out" or "It is Shit
because others says it sucks" - childish and lamb-like.. We will all come to the one big herd, and spam those comments on
bands´ shoutbox. Now I´ll tell you something shocking : In Fact, bands don´t care. They made their musical evolution (either for
new musical way they want to move towards, or they grew older(in some cases, like Metallica, simply old, or they
just want to make some money through their music).. Since music started to be part of the business, things will always
be like that.. It´s like with football or anything else, where money are being present.
Band won´t come back to their roots, no matter how
you think you persuade them not supporting them buying their albums.. Someone else will surely buy it. Anyways, members
of the bands usually do have side jobs, or more often music as a part-time activity, so they are not depending on your purchase as much as you might think they do.
Music just helps them getting better and more luxurious things, while they could feed themselves no matter what will
happen with their career as a musicians. Now let´s see into Graveworms´problem. The problem is, they have signed with Nuclear Blast.
Just that fact should have warned their fans, that the biggest style change is going to happen. All bands in the history, once
they have signed with Nuclear Blast started to earn money, become famous, and rapidly changed their musical style
to suit the masses. What for? Because Nuclear Blast is factory for masses.. They could release tons of Amon Amarth,
Arch Enemy, Graveworm and those names will bring money no matter what music they produce.. See, Cradle of Filth
are still making tons of money, they´ve just changed the audience they play for. Metalheads for metalkids.
That´s not bad. You have to admit, there are so many bands now, metal became overcrowded as hell. You can always
find lots of interesting bands, if you are really searching for them. There´s no point stand by band that changed
into something you don´t like. Just, for christ sake, switch to another one! Leaving pointless comments will not
help with anything in any way, just pisses off the ones, who still like the band (or they don´t know better). In my opinion,
Graveworm maybe turned worse, but it´s still bearable, not alike In Flames and Soilwork. They just staying extreme in
some way, not completely turned into pop metal (like Soilwork or In Flames really did).
How to solve this problem? Hm eradicate money from the music. Let´s just pay for concerts, and probably get cd´s for only
a small price, paying straight to the bands, but that won´t happen. The whole thing gone too far. Some next time, you will
be bitching in some bands´shoutbox, proving this rule, you will probably know, it has no use. They will not play
like you want to, because it´s not you, who creates the music. If they mean it open-hearted, they just feel the music
the way they play. If not, they just want to make some money. It´s sad, but way it is.

14. Jun. 2008, 9:45Hey, our group members, I just wanted to make sure you will check band Insomnium , gothic/doom/death metal (some people call it melodeath, but I don´t like the term for this band)
They have 3 long plays and 2(if I count right) ep´s yet.

Beautiful, clever lyrics you can´t find anywhere else, great connection between raw folk and rock/metal makes this band unique as anything else in the rank! Must for all fans of folk music and metalmaniacs too..
