  • Songs Of The Week - Week Ending 20/5/2010

    20. Mai. 2010, 11:28

I'm posting these up a bit early this week, seeing as I have had them in mind for a few days:

    Monster - Lady Gaga

Ever since I bought this song in Rock Band I have simply fallen in love with it. I hated it upon my first listen of The Fame Monster, shows that things can change, & it was officially my most played song last week. Therefore it has to end up here

    Let Go - 12 Stones

I completely forgot this song existed for the last couple of years, upon realising I used a small amount of cash left on my Itunes account to actually purchase this song for the first time (I illegally downloaded it the first time I had it). This has re-ignited my love for a band that stuck with me for as long as Rock Music has. 6 Years I believe. Good to fully enjoy 12 Stones again like I used too, making this song a deserving one on this weeks list.

Heaven and Hell - Black Sabbath

Along with many, I was saddened to hear about the death of Ronnie James Dio over the weekend. In tribute to him I played the only song in my Itunes that has his vocals, Black Sabbath's Heaven And Hell. It was meant to be played as a one off for that moment & have me return to my other listenings but in more recent shuffles I have seen this song pop up & consistently remind me how good Dio was. R.I.P. Dio, we will miss you.
  • Songs Of The Week (Week Ending 13/5/10)

    13. Mai. 2010, 23:22

Every Thursday Night/Friday Morning, I will now post the 3 songs that have grabbed my attention the most this week.

    A Thousand Faces - Creed

Mark Tremonti's backing vocals in this song really makes me single it out as one of Creed's best songs. The lyrics are also brilliant as well

    Lazarus - Fozzy

There is a certain catchyness to this song that I just can't put my finger on. The vocals showcase what Chris Jericho is capable of & more

    Mr. Larkin - State Radio

Along with Camilo & Right Me Up this song have kept me going all week long with their catchy hooks & sublime attention to musical detail. Bravo State Radio
