Oh, don't worry about it. And you already explained it to me via tumblr :) I did go to MdM, and loved it. I'm going back for Mgła with Forteresse - so psyched! I have seen Forteresse twice, once in Massachusetts, and once in Mtl. The show in Mtl was nuts, it was the first MdM, and they weren't supposed to go on because Antifa said they were NS, but at the last second they went on anyway because demand for them was so high, and the crowd's reaction to them was just...it was amazing :) I second your friends suggestions of Pelican and Bongripper. ALL Bongripper, though. Especially Satan Worshipping Doom. I would definitely suggest Lunar Aurora, start with Hoagascht, the Paysage d'Hiver split, and Andacht. Next band I would suggest, if you don't know them, is Moss. Incredibly doom. Thirdly, Antaeus! And I can't neglect to mention Paysage d'Hiver - PHENOMENAL atmospheric Black Metal. Perfect for winter. Let me know if you need any PdH.

Hello :) I don't remember how we "met", but I saw that you are also a fan of Sortilegia. Did you go to Messe des Morts II?

New Tumblr?! Indian Handcrafts' record rules - it's like Melvins stopped experimenting and laid down all bangers.

Maryland Death Fest had an awesome line-up this year, must have been a great time. As for music suggestions I don't really have any new music you should listen to other than some stuff that is a little older that I like. Here is a mini list of shit I have enjoyed and you might too: Blue Sky Black Death - Noir. Pelican - What We All Come to Need. Pelican - City of Echos. Melvins - Lysol. Kongh - Shadows Of The Shapeless. Converge - Jane Doe. Neurosis - Through Silver In Blood. Orange Goblin - Time Traveling Blues. Daughters - All their albums. Devin Townsend - Ocean Machine, Biomech. Bongripper - Sex Tape/ Snuff Film. Easy Star All-Stars - Dubber Side of the Moon. Fantômas - The Director's Cut. Skeletonwitch- Forever Abomination. Tycho - Dive. Yob - The Unreal Never Lived. Rosetta - A Determinism Of Morality. Vastum - Carnal Law. Burzum - Filosofem. There's probably a great deal of albums I am missing but I'm kinda tanked atm and that is all I could think of.

you listen to some awesome tunes, I take recs from your library all the time. You should come out to Chicago and toke some ganj, drink some scotch, and go to a doom show when there's one you really want to go to here.

Yo, I'm fairly well, just keepin' on :P Interesting charts, some great bands and some bands that look good but haven't listened to, what would you recommend?

Just listened to Subrosa's latest album for the first time and you'll likely be into it; doom metal with violins and female vocals. I also recently became obsessed with Australian prog-rock band Floating Me even if the vocals are bit too 90s grunge, but their drummer played in another great band Cog. Shearwater's Animal Joy just came out and it's one of their better ones. Aus is going well! The weather's turning to winter here so Toronto will soon surpass us on the thermometer but that's when I'll have to travel out when it's not 45°C in Perth or Queensland. Live gigs are expensive although bill lineups are better. I saw Dredg/Meshuggah/Devin Townsend for $70 a few weeks back but $20 shows in Canada are $50+ here due to visa and travel costs for international acts along with a higher cost of living. Can see plenty of local music in the pub scene with no cover charge though (and the bands get paid!)

You sure sound like a hands-on type person. Interesting... Well I'm actually looking for a new job. My main interest is music and I'm doing my best to start some sort of career in that field. If you're interested: http://antitheticrecords.storenvy.com/products/184763-wildernessking-the-writing-of-gods-in-the-sand-cd Been meaning to check out Vàli for awhile, and I do have the Ufomammut stuff. I just need to get around to listening to them. Will give them a bash tomorrow :) Thanks for the recommendations. Always stoked to find new music! I say try Wodensthrone (great Black Metal) and Tennis (nostalgic Lo-Fi Pop) if you haven't already.
