M.I.A. is the first artist in my chart to reach 1,000 plays. I'm pretty happy with her being the first. I thought it would be Amy Winehouse but theres been a significant decline in plays from week to week. I predict she will be next, assuming that she gets 58 plays before Kanye Westgets 348. I say Kanye bescause withhis new album having been leaked, and even before then, he's all i've been listening to in recent days. In my rolling chart for the last 3 months, Amy has been played 757 times, Kanye, 420 times and M.I.A. a mere 189. So M.I.A. having reached 1,000 before anyone is due to the fact that I got into Arular after hearing Bucky Done Gun and Sunshowers. Then I discovered Piracy Funds Terrorism and i really was listening to M.I.A. just all the time. She's an artist that I REALLY respect. Now she realeased Kala and i just love the alvbum, start to finish.
