Sometimes I get the overwhelming urge to play tracks on repeat and listen to them for hours.
I'm used to that. But this week there were a couple of days when I couldn't stand listening to anything but Bauhaus - In the Flat Field and Modest Mouse - Whenever You Breathe Out, I Breathe In (Positive Negative).
Why I would choose a song about being bored out of your mind and desperate to get away from it all and a song about voluntary seclusion from the world and doing absolutely nothing all day is beyond me.
Thinking about the contrast between them is… well… unsettling.
I wonder what this says about me. Anyone have any input on this? Analyze at will!
This is just me cracking my skull open and picking at my brain. I'm also trying to find out if anybody reads these goddamned things or maybe I'm just talking to the magical machine elves.
