Wer freihändig denken kann, der hat gute Chancen, ohne Theorien auszukommen.
Spontaneität und Klarheit in Musik übersetzt, ergeben ein einfaches Konzept, das entwaffnend direkt ist und in der Ausführung: überrascht.
Und plötzlich brüllt der Typ los.
Schlicht und ergreifend.

THOUGHTS PAINT THE SKY was formed in early 2005 in Essen, Germany by Daniel (acoustic guitar/vocals/screams/studio drums), Irina (bass) & Stefan (acoustic guitar/screams).

The EP „… and the colour is your choice“ and the first album „s/t“ was released in 2005/2006.
Clemens (drums) completed the line-up in 2006.
One year later the EP“*“ was released, but all members except Daniel quit.
The second album „schlicht & ergreifend.“ was released at the end of 2007 and Daniel played several solo shows.
THOUGHTS PAINT THE SKY started 2008 with the new line-up Daniel (acoustic guitar/screams/vocals), Flo (drums/screams), Roland (bass/screams) & Marc (acoustic guitar) and played toured twice through germany (two weeks with longing for tomorrow).
The EP „Komödie/Tragödie?“ was released and Marc and later Roland quit.
Tom temporary filled in for bass and was quickly replaced by Martin (bass/screams).
But after only a few shows, Martin realized that he also had a problem of time and so Mario (bass/screams) completed the line-up for the tour with Ashes of Pompeii in september 2009.
This was also be the release time for the lastest LP „Hier spielt die Musik“ (Ape Must Not Kill Ape Records/Unpopular Disclose Records/dicker elvis records).
