Nickee Cock woke up early one Tuesday morning and decided to go for a walk in the tomato field behind her house. As she was walking along she saw a magnificently tall invisible tree and decided to climb up on it. She found the foliage covered branches so comfortable that she fell fast asleep. She was still asleep when nightfall came and her mother became frantic with worry. She ran from house to house asking everyone she saw if they had seen Nickee or knew where she was. Soon the whole town was aware of Nickee's disappearance and they immediately started the search.

And so the search began
Everybody was looking for Nickee Coco

Pretty sure it's based on the '60s psych concept album Odgen's Nut Gone Flake, which used a fair amount of spoken word.

I usually hate it when bands try to pull the whole spoken-word thing, but I really like this. [2]

But it predates the culture that really brought about that sort of attitude.

I've thought about it, and I think this might be the worst thing of Montreal has ever done. It just makes me think of Hot Topic and Panic! at the Disco and people who try way too hard to be quirky and random. A pretty startling low point, considering The Gay Parade is absolutely perfect otherwise.

Check out the stuttering organ grinder beatboxing in the background at the end. That's a weird sentence.
