We started in 2004 as a quite primitive trio, namely Totenstille (guitars), Ketzer (guitars, programming) and Dorn (vocals). After a couple of creative years, Freitod (bass) and Unhold (drums) completed the Band and helped establishing the troup on several gigs in Switzerland. Meanwhile, the demo CD „Irgendwo Dazwischen“ was realeased in 2005 (including the old 3-piece line-up).
In 2006, the realease of the first full-length „Endzeit“ was settled and we attacked many places in Switzerland with provocant and insane gigs. Thanks to stage-partners like Shining, Asmodeus, Merrimack, Requiem etc, BLUTMOND was quite well-known in Europe. Pleasant reviews, many gigs and a growing fanbase. But nothing lasts forever…
One part of us decided to change things. No more mindless Black-Metal Shredding, no more tales about war and wolves, no more corpsepainting. The idea was clear: We want to create something new, something emotional, something honest! Dorn and Ketzer left; here’s the trio again…
We set sails to Markus Stock and his Klangschmiede Studio E in autumn 2009 to record the all new and satisfying record „Thirteen Urban Ways 4 Groovy Bohemian Days“. This should be just the beginning of something, what we’ve still not can gauge. Sure, you can’t give nice gigs with this line-up. Marlon (guitar) and Marc (Saxophone and Effects) were recruited and trained to join the force and support us during sweaty gigs.
