zatimco prvni dil post-postu jsem psala, protoze jsem potrebovala zanechat stopu za serii koncertu s intertextualnim poselstvim o tom, ze Twilight Singers jsou skvela kapela, dvojka bude bez vyraznejsi pointy cisty blues, zanr pres caru per se. normalne bych to napsala do novyho editorialu, ale o Benu Frostovi jsme zaprvy nedavno psali, zadruhy pomer dojmu a pojmu me tentokrat vyradil ze souteze. zatreti se ukazalo, ze je to silene dlouhy.

My tinnitus is on the up and it doesn't look like it's going to stop, which is a great shame. I've lost count of the amount of times i've said to myself "You know kid, all these gigs and long walks through the woods at night, listening to Wolf Eyes full blast. They're gonna catch up with you're ears one day and you'll be stuck listening to feedback and screeching tape loops forever". Or something to that affect anyway, either way i didn't heed my own advise. Paul Simon once said "A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest" and it looks like the smug little bastard was right.
Anyone who suffers badly with tinnitus will know how much of a drag it can be. Sleepless nights, difficulty understanding conversations within a group of people, wincing at car stereos and small speakers being tipped over the '5' or '6' volume level. Like the ringing, the list goes on. …

More to try and remember myself than for anyone to read, I'm going to write a bit about what I did and saw at [event=]Supersonic 2010[/event].
Got down early, had a couple of real ales in the Anchor to try and avoid the crowds. There was nobody I specifically wanted to see on the Friday but a few acts I was curious about.
First up for me were Gum Takes Tooth on the main stage whose name I'd seen about but who I hadn't heard. Great set-up of live drums and trigger pads, feeding into another guy's synth and pedals rig - heavy bulbous bass and some tight rhythms. Not sure the sound did them justitce though.
Headed over to see Demons with Sick Llama having heard a member of Wolf Eyes was involved - lovely abstract drone at a suitably loud amplitude saw me raving to polyrhythmic pulses and squeals.
I was dragged from my trance to watch Fukpig which was a total contrast, harsh death metal and not what I was in the mood for.
Headed back in for Devilman…

Mon 19 Jul – Lightning Bolt, Wolf Eyes, Human Eye

Bad Party played first and they were incredible. Their short lead singer's voice impressed and surprised me. He had the crazy eyed look that are practically necessary for a noise rock singing.

Next up was Wolf Eyes. The guitarist was super fucked up on something, and I couldn't keep my eyes off of him. He had dark glasses on, but I could see him continuously rolling his eyes into the back of his head. I shook his hand at the end of the set. I was thrilled that they played Stabbed in the Face.

Human Eye played next. They took a long ass time to set up, but it was worth it. The lead singer put on something resembling a fish face made out of paper mache and eyeball keychains and handed out Milwaukee Light Beer from a pillow case. I successfully wrestled some skinny underage hipster kids for a free beer. The lead singer/guitarist played so hard that his hair, or what was left of it (bald joke!), was drenched in sweat by the end of the show. …
