This is one of the greatest Who songs of all time and one of the most beautiful songs by anyone, anytime, period. The genius of Pete Townshend as a writer and the Who as a band. Enough to move you to tears...fucking brilliant.

Great song, by the way. One of the most solid proofs that "Lifehouse" would have been the most epic record ever made. Pete is a genius.

The 1995 remastered version of "Who's Next" included it as a bonus because it was one of the most important songs in the "Lifehouse" project. Since it wasn't included in the original album (I wonder why), the first official release was in the outtakes and B-sides compilation "Odds and Sods". The two versions are quite different from each other, though.

Pretty sure cousinbull is right. I have this as a bonus track on my copy of "Who's Next", but it was originally released on "Odds and Sods" according to Wikipedia.

This is one of their greatest songs. Often overlooked. Love the guitar at the end.

I listened and I heard, music in the words, and words when you played your guitar. But the noise that I was hearing was a million people cheering, and a child flew past me riding in a star.

chantelephant, what I meant is that this song was not part of the original 'Who's Next' album. It is in this new edition, but as a bonus song.
