On the "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod" verse: "Jesus. Best left forgotten. Obviously, I didn't want to use real names yet. I probably wanted to make sure I wasn't using a name that really meant something to me. Because, you know, that song is about the worst kind of jealousy. You ever been jealous? It's a destructive, horrible emotion. I remember once singing that song on stage and, for some reason, I was suddenly struck so hard by what it was really about. It stopped me in my tracks for an instant, just how intense that kind of jealousy was that I was talking about. 'I've been told that you've been bold with so and so and so... Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday...' That's almost every day of the week. How much worse can it get? I'm just glad the melody was pretty." Words of wisdom from Lou.

I love this version of the song! It sounds so different compared to the Transformer version, but i love both versions either way.

"But it's not as nice as looking in your eyes" is a waaaaaay better line than "Things like that drive me out of my mind".

I don't understand why Lou butchered it for his album, even though the official version is great but he massacred two of the best parts of the song : the sung intro which has been dropped and the middle eight which sounds much better here

i like this one more, lou's version is too glam rock, although it's not bad.

I like both Reed's solo version and this equally. This is bubblegum; Reed's solo revision is honey. Both are sweet.

nah, lou's version is much better than this one, methinks. "winking, blinking and nod?" :/

Yeah, it's kinda amazing how he managed to fuck this one up so much for his solo version.
