24 Hours
Über dieses YouTube-Video
This video shows some highlights of the seventeenth milkcrate session "Sea Monster".
This session features Justin and Seb building a bunch of circuits and then arranging and manipulating the sounds in protools. The 24 continuous hours of the session were divided in half. The first 12 hours were dedicated to breadboarding and recording. The last 12 hours were dedicated to arranging and mixing.
As a general statement, this session featured less and macro protools processing, editing and post-recording production than previous milkcrate sessions.
Milkcrate is a music project. The idea is to write music with very specific rules constraining time, space, efficiency and materials.

-----
Sea Monster (2007)
Justin Phelps and Sebastian Tomczak.
Using only homemade electronics as source material.
Thick, luscious synthesis-based sounds are abundant in this milkcrate session whose only source materials were homemade electronic devices constructed on the level of descrete components and low-level integrated circuits.
