The Pop Group were avant-garde no question! They put Bristol on the map! But I beg to differ with Albert_Transom, The Clash had balls enough to re-invent Jamaica's roots reggae with a razor's edge! For all those nay-sayers: Straight to Hell Boy! 1 love.

My fave Pop Group track since I saw and heard the 7 single many years ago. While bands like the Sex Pistol and Clash were posturing as political the Pop Group was nailing you to the floor with social commentary and a hard edged post disco funkyness that paved the path for folks like the Red Hot Chili Peppers down the road. This has a groove you can't sit still to and will blister your ears.
