Every year, the music critics around the globe sift through their piles of CDs and concoct their list of top albums of the year. While I cannot boast such a musical knowledge, dissect each chord progression so accurately, or spend countless hours examining each genre, I have compiled my tentative Top 10 Albums for 2008. However lackluster this musical year may have been, or incomplete my knowledge may be, let the kudos begin.

#10: Ra Ra Riot - The Rhumb Line

Sometimes the greatest creations spawn from one's greatest losses. Such is the case for Ra Ra Riot's debut album, The Rhumb Line. The Syracuse sextet garnered quick praise and fellowship from their acclaimed Ra Ra Riot EP and genuine live performances. In 2007, however, the band suffered tragedy as their drummer drowned following a show afterparty. It is this incident, though, which imbues The Rhumb Line with life. …

Das beste Konzert des Jahres war definitiv Sigur Rós im Schlachthof in Wiesbaden! Allerdings sehr dicht gefolgt von Bloc Party im Roseland Ballroom in NYC :)

Den Titel "Favorite Newcomer" machen die Foals und Ra Ra Riot untereinander aus. Zwischen den beiden kann ich mich wirklich nicht entscheiden. Auf den weiteren Plätzen folgen dann die Crystal Castles und MGMT.

Welcome to the 3rd inaugural 10K songs journal..mind you the only reason I'm writing this one is to be able to use the adjective "inaugural". I always wanted to do that, now did that, so don't expect anything interesting on the upcoming paragraphs :)

The 20K journal which attract a record of zero comments(hmm the journal's writer was desperate for attention. for crying out loud, it is a wrap up of what you listened, how interesting could it be, besides if it is interesting enough people just comment on it, it happens, remember. grow up, mate) was in February. Being an audioscrobbler since March 2005, that meant it took 3 years to reach the mark. But it took only six months to listen to another 10K..so did the music industry dramatically changed so that I've been listening in an unprecedented way. well, no I just had more time, that's all.
