Hi , I was the drummer in the in-crowd and four plus one ,when i left Twink joined the band and they changed their name to Tomorrow, Keit west then had a hit with excerpt from a teenage opera and Steve Howe shot to fame with Yes. I recently started playing again with a band called Slyder. Ps we recorderd an album for release on the Tower label in the states , but I do not know if it was ever released

The reggae band cames after, because The british In-Crowd started in 1964. But both of the bands are very good.

The band also recorded a version of Ike Turner's Finger Poppin which remained unreleased until r-p-m's recent Mothballs compilation, which also includes tracks by Tomorrow and Steve Howe. [They also wrote and recorded two songs for the cult film Blow Up: Blow Up and Am I Glad To See You. Although they were not released, they have resurfaced on the mod compilation with the same name as the band.] Shortly after Twink left The Fairies to join The In Crowd they changed name to Tomorrow, abandoning its R&B style music for psychedelia. Rumours of an unreleased In Crowd album are unsubstantiated.

The In-Crowd British 60´s Band was a R&B / soul group that had begun life as Four Plus One. They are best remembered, if at all, for their cover of Otis Redding's That's How Strong My Love Is, which was a minor hit. On the flip was the superb punkier Things She Says. Personnel: SIMON 'BOOTS' ALCOT bs LES JONES ld gtr KEN LAWRENCE drms KEITH WEST vcls JOHN 'JUNIOR' WOOD gtr STEVE HOWE ld gtr JOHN 'TWINK' ADLER drms 45s: 1 That's How Strong My Love Is/Things She Says (Parlophone R 5276) 1965 48 2 Stop! Wait A Minute/You're On Your Own (Parlophone R 5328) 1965 - 3 Why Must They Criticise/I Don't Mind (Parlophone R 5364) 1965 - After the first 45, Steve Howe replaced Les Jones. Their second 45 had a beat-flavour and their final effort was a folk-styled protest number, that had originally been recorded by George Bean. All three of their 45s, particularly the first, are now rare and sought-after.

The original In Crowd is British and they were harder rocking than the Stones. The Jamaican came a decade and several years LATER you uneducated people. Also they spell their name as The In-Crowd so please update your tags, thank you!
