    To be fair, you could have guessed what my favourite stuff from last year was by looking at my chart, but it's been reset for the new year. Apologies for the stupid paragraphs with each pick. Anyway, without further ado...

    Melvins - (A) Senile Animal
    Proudly not sucking since 1983. Buzz, Dale and co come up with another good one. Two drummers, three singers and amazing guitar riffs aplenty as usual. Rock.

    Harvey Milk - Special Wishes
    Another heavy record in every respect. Sound, lyrical content, everything. Three seconds into the first song I knew this was going to be one of the best.

    Om - Conference of the Birds
    Hypnotic and otherworldly. Yeah. Has big riffs also (unsurprisingly). 'At Giza' was probably my most listened to song of 2006. Just wait until the monolithic bass kicks in towards the end.
