The Brendan HinesIt was much easier to chose my favourite albums this year than it was the last (http://tinyurl.com/djpbestof2011) and all of the below have been in heavy rotation on my iPod. The best album of the year in my opinon - The Distance Tricked Us - isn't even signed to a record label but was independently released by the band on iTunes and on CD through their website. I predict though that by the end of next year People, Places, Maps will be starting to get the recognition they deserve.
