This album is one of my favs from Testament! So farI have only a few scrobbles of it on last.fm but that will change, the songs are great, so underrated and evil sounding. It's a shame most Testament fans don't understand this album. I hope that in the future this piece of art will be more respected just like it deserves so.

    I. Fucking. LOVE this album! So heavy and sinister sounding. It doesn't even matter that it sounds nothing like classic Testament, it's its own ball-crushing beast.

Not my favorite Testament album, but definitely has features I like a lot. Chuck Billy's voice is huge, and he uses these deep elements, with his classic sound on later albums which is great. IMO, this is the first Testament album to have killer drumming.

This is not the worst album, it is not even a bad album, its fucking awesome. Opens the mind up about what a thrash band can do in experimenting.

Worst, yes. It's got some heavy riffs, with many death metal moments, but overall most of the times I noticed that album is over and all I remember is John Doe's groove and somewhat the opening song. The song-writing is lacking on this one

Off this album i like the vocals the most. Chuck is a great vocalist... he can sing as harsh and brutal like here, and soft and melodic in some of their ballads.

Definetively groove metal, with some death touches [2] One of the most underrated groove metal albums.

Definetively groove metal, with some death touches. And they do it right. One more time showing how versatile Chuck is. He can go from heart-braking clean vocals to the most evil growls, and everything in between.

I love how it's called death metal and groove metal... it's just badass and Eric's writing, riffs, and leads are sick as shit. Gene is great, Derrick holds it down, Chuck is incredible on this one, Low and The Gathering...
