Your reading comprehension seems to be pretty terrible, because I have given you a reason: nothing they've done is anything new to music. Nothing. I don't know how many names I have to drop before you're satisfied, but there were plenty of artists doing much more for music as a whole than they ever will.

The progression of their respective "sounds" is very similar. Look at how Supercar progressed from Three Out Change (rather straight-forward sound) to Highvision, which makes Three Out Change look very "stripped down" in comparison. Radiohead went through a similar process. In fact, both of their debut albums are surprisingly similar in terms of overall sound. Of course, Three Out Change kicks the shit out of Pablo Honey, but that's not really the point. The point is you're wrong and so is everyone else who is saying they are not similar in the least. They are. Get over it.
