(1996 – aktuell)

Februar 2005 in Tokio mitgeschnittenen Konzerte beinhaltet.

    I've been a fan since 2006, so I witnessed the whole Unia thing. I hated Unia at first and thought it was incredibly lousy, but that was also in my early metal days, when most I had heard was quite melodic and, you know, catchy. As my musical taste grew I tried Unia again and I loved it, and Days of Grays is my favorite album although I am a big fan of the old stuff as well. As Teri says, the problem is those not giving the new albums a chance, but listen to them once and throw them away.

    Agreed, they have something in their music that appeals beyond other powermetal. I went to a shop years ago and saw this nice looking single and asked my friend about it and he said it's some metal, apparently very much listenable. And since the single was really cheap, I bought it and went home and the first two seconds and my mind was blown. And what was the single? Wolf and Raven. BOOM! *tilulilulilulilu*

    I don't also be big fan of power metal, but sonata has always(since first listening) been close to me. They have something what other power metal bands don't have.

    lol, I read to the end of your comment :) "I'm not a huge fan of power metal anyway, most of it is just shit" <-- I agree that a lot of power metal is pretty pants but somehow it still ends up being my favourite genre, overall xDD There's bad bands in any genre and I guess the best power metal bands (Sonata for one, of course :3) pull it ahead of other genres, for me :)

    I'm a long term fan (Silence and onwards) and I was thrilled when I heard Unia for the first time and noticed that they have actually wanted to try something new! Since I had not got any info of the album before, I just noticed it was released and decided to get it but I was really thinking it's the usual powermetal Sonata, so I was really positively surprised. But then again, I'm not a huge fan of power metal anyway, most of it is just shit, but I've always loved Sonata for some reason. Again I write too much and no one will even read my comments to the end.... But anyway, my point is, that trying new stuff is GOOD. If you don't like the new stuff, that's fine, but there's no point whining about it, atleast they are doing the kind of songs they want to. Over and out... For now.

    I didn't say that. I can totally understand people preferring the old stuff, but it's the ones who hate on the new stuff and don't give it a chance, they're the ones who annoy me. After all, most of us fans of the new stuff also really adore the old stuff, but it doesn't seem to work both ways, and that's what sucks. On a different note, I'm seeing them live tomorroww! *dances* Enjoy your gig tonight, Rovainia! :D

    Apparently it's inconceivable that some long term fans like the old stuff more than the new albums. I think this band (or any other, for that matter) could do better without you guys.

    "Sonata Arctica needs more Unia and DoG to delete that shitty fanbase." Yeah, that's the thing I like least about the Sonata fanbase, there's too many people who cling to the old stuff and refuse to listen to the new >__> But hey, I'm used to it by now. Sadly it won't change overnight ^__^;;

    imo that top-15 looks pretty nice, but some songs i don't wish to see there..at least White Pearl, Black Oceans... and The End Of This Chapter should be there.

    I just can't get how people prefer Replica, Kingdom For a Heart, 8th Commandment and My Land to Flag in the Ground, Juliet, Deathaura, The Truth is Out There, My Dream's But a Drop of Fuel For a Nightmare and Caleb.

    "Deathaura has already dropped out of the top 15 ;( CRIMINAL!", for me almost all the top 15 it's criminal. Too much old songs that have to be replace for new ones, also I'm really mad to see that "Paid in full" it's the only Unia song, I will not request "My dream's but a drop of fuel for a nightmare", but at least "It won't fade"! I'm from Argentina and I have seen her live show the past year, almost 5000 people were there. The point it's that people liked more songs like "San Sebastian" than "Caleb" or "It won't fade"! I remember some guy who said in the intro of Caleb "What is this? A song to sleep?", Sonata Arctica needs more Unia and DoG to delete that shitty fanbase.

    fingers crossed for all our gigs! x>.<x but I think it's damn decent of them to reschedule the gigs they haven't been able to do, so hopefully the worst we'll face is a postponement (though in my current state of not physically being able to wait til Thursday I don't know how I'll fare xDD) and @os_teriyaki: nooo!!!!!! DX *queues up Deathaura* we can do it >.< !
