Biografie

Solution .45 is a Melodic Death/Progressive Metal band from Sweden, created by Jani Stefanovic (Miseration and Essence Of Sorrow) and includes former Scar Symmetry vocalist Christian Älvestam. Other members of Solution .45 include Tom Gardiner (Hateform), Anders Edlund (Angel Blake), Rolf Pilve (Miseration, Essence Of Sorrow) and Mikko Härkin (ex-Sonata Arctica and Cain’s Offering)

History

In late 2007 Jani Stefanovic formed Solution .45, with Christian Älvestam (who at this time was still with Scar Symmetry) joining as one of its last members. Jani stresses that despite Christian’s presence in the band, it will not be a Scar Symmetry clone and that songs had been ready for some time before his arrival.[1] In the fall of 2008 an 8-track demo was produced by Tomas „Plec“ Johansson (Unmoored, Scar Symmetry), with a demo track titled „Clandestiny Now“ available over the internet.[2]
Current Activity

Solution .45 entered Panic Room Studios in September 2009 to record its first full-length album, with Dark Tranquillity vocalist Mikael Stanne writing all the lyrics for the album. The record will be completely finished and mastered by the end of December 2009,[3] and will be issued by AFM records in Europe and Marquee/Avalon in Japan;[4] with a release tentatively slated for 2010.[5]
