Biografie

Im ungeliebten bürgerlichen Leben heißt der Hamburger Knöpfchendreher Marc Wichmann. Hits wie Samy Deluxes „Weck Mich Auf“, „Zeitgeist 2000“ und „Berlin Love“ der Harleckinz oder „Nie Nett“ von den Absolute Beginners gehen auf sein Konto. Zudem greift er KC Da Rookee, D-Flame, MC Rene, Brooke Russell, Schönheitsfehler, Nico Suave, Mr. Schnabel und Raptile studiotechnisch unter die Arme.

Ein Album der 2 Live Crew verursacht in Teenie Marc den dringenden Wunsch, Musik zu machen. Diese Passion hindert ihn zum Glück daran, dass er eine kriminielle Schlägerkarriere startet. So überlebt Sleepy Schulpsychologen und Verweise en Masse einigermaßen unbeschadet, denn mit Kumpel SMG und zwei Kollegen aus Altona gründet er Anfang der 90er die Britcoreband Readykill. Neben diversen Samplerbeiträgen und Maxis produziert Sleepwalker noch Direkt Action, MC Syren und R.A.F., die alle auf der Hamburg Hardcore-Compilation auftauchen.

Als die Britcore-Welle langsam aber sicher abebbt und Readykill das Zeitliche segnen, zieht er sich in sein Kellerstudio zurück, um zwei lang dem Wutang zu frönen und an eigenen Beats zu basteln. Eines seiner liebste Favoriten ist übrigens Killah Priests „Heavy Mental“. Mit unzähligen Tracks im Rücken trift er sich 1998 mit Mr. Schnabel im Boogiepark Studio und bekommt prompt einen Produzentenvertrag angeboten, den er wegen finanzieller Probleme dankend annimmt.

    So Khrysanthoney has partnered with the black metal Sleepwalker featuring Mike from Fell Voices. I loved Mike's two demos so much we agreed to release them as a short run pro disc with perty packaging and all the usual Khrysanthoney trimmings.
