    "The connotation you guys are making about the guilty of being right" lyric is wrong. they mean, they're right that they shouldn't feel guilty for who they are, that it's stupid to have to feel bad about something you had nothing to do with." >>> the Minor Threat original manages to convey all those sentiments perfectly well without concluding with "guilty of being right". there's no reason to add a line like "guilty of being right" unless you feel that the original message – that you "shouldn't feel guilty for who [you] are" – actually doesn't go far enough. Ian MacKaye, who wrote it, was furious, so clearly he didn't think it was a 'wrong connotation'.
