Every song on this record is a masterpiece. One after another.

I loved this in high school, not so much anymore. It's very good for what is is though. And definitely their best album.

Bach's vocal range on "Quicksand Jesus" is one of the greatest of any lead singer on any song in history, sends chills down my spine when he screams 'you're so far away...' towards the end of the track...

A total letdown after the debut was so kick ass back in 1989... I only like the title track.

Their best album by far and one i bought the day it was released. Also caught Skid Row headlining this album on tour with Soundgarden opening the show. Most people find it hard to believe but yes Soundgarden opened shows for Skid Row and this was right around the time Badmotorfinger was released.Caught the show live i think it was in '92 or close to it.

Monkey Business and the title track fit Thrash if you ask me, and a few others fit it, been a while since I heard em, so I don't remember the names lol, but jesus this album is fucking amazing!

@lordcthulhu Their next album "Subhuman Race" was actually VERY good IMO. Not quite as good as slave, but pretty awesome. It was after that one that they went downhill :p

This album smokes the debut, which itself is pretty good. They took a gamble by becoming heavier, and it hey, it really worked (albeit only for one album).

for all those who talk about the thrash metal tag, just listen to the guitars and the riffs in "Slave to the Grind" for example, and then compare with any american thrash metal band like Annihilator or Megadeth ;)
