Founded in 1999 when the hybrid of Metal and Hardcore was a strictly underground phenomenon Six Reasons To Kill managed it to improve their sound steady.
The starting shot was given with their debut Death Metal-Hardcore-Bastard “Kiss The Demon“ containing a midtempo groove-based sound followed by two split-releases (with ABSIDIA and DEADLOCK). Their development towards a more elaborated sound during the early releases is evident. The second full-length “Reborn” marked a point when the sound changed completely to a harmony-added powerful and converging songwriting. “Reborn” got released on Bastardized Recordings in Europe, Tribunal Records in the USA and Gods Child Music in Asia and Japan – a statement for the international demand for their artistic talent.
An inflationary amount of changes in the line-up (some members joined CALIBAN and DEADSOIL) obstructed the view forward within the last years. But every loss has its benefits: In the retrospective these circumstances lead to the strongest and most energetic line-up in the history of Six Reasons To Kill.
Combining the violence and aggression of Death Metal with the groove and catchiness of modern Thrash Metal Six Reasons To Kills latest effort “Another Horizon” offers a 60-minute trip through violence and harmony. This album is a honest piece of music and the consequence of all the difficulties the band had to overcome in the past years and furthermore the logical continuation of “Reborn” but more close to the point and catchy as well as brutal and fast. Bands like THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, SOILWORK or even THROWDOWN are suitable comparisons to describe the artists musical range.

geiles konzert in darmstadt! trotz besetzungseinschränkungen wurde mir mal wieder ganz lässig die möglichkeit genommen, mal einen schlechten oder nur mäßigen 6rtk ging zu erleben. maybe someday ... bis dahin viel erfolg, man sieht sich ... ganz sicher!

hurra, mein briefkasten hat heute "architects of perfection" ausgespuckt, was mir, nach mehrmaligem hören förmlich ans ohr gewachsen ist. nachdem ich mit der letzten scheibe so gar nicht warmwerden wollte, ist es schön zu hören, dass der neue output wieder mehr in richtung wuchtig und dreckig geht. tolles album! klare sache, dass ich mir den 26.3. jetzt nicht mehr entgehen lasse. ;) @ xmetabolicx : wenn du dir ein paar "ältere" scheiben der jungs anhörst, z.b. die split cds, wirst du schnell feststellen, dass derartige growls keine akute modeerscheinung sind, sondern vielmehr ein bestandteil. :)
