My (brief) review of Acrid Plains:
"The only other band I can think of with a more repetitive rhythm section is Iced Earth.
Forget the music having a lasting impression; I won't even be able to remember a single thing five minutes from now. Nothing on this album is particularly good, hasn't been done before, or exhibits a shred of inspiration. No audible bass, guitars that explore less territory than your typical Victory Records chugathon, and entirely lifeless vocals. I can understand it though, since most metal fans cream themselves involuntarily at the mere prospect of a female's participation in their preferred genre despite whether or not there's any talent involved on her part. A waste of 53 minutes of my life."
