Justin Bartlett’s detailed pen and ink drawings draw from nature and imagery related to the occult resulting in works that show an analytical eye that pushes the iconography he uses to the limit. The seemingly innocent drawing of a cat shows a struggling bird trapped beneath its paw. The cat’s expression is maniacal and deranged. Other works draw on Bartlett’s rich visual language of dark chasms, piles of skulls and heads floating in rancid pools engulfed in a mass of knotted weeds and roots. The resulting hellish images, while referencing nature seem to come from a much darker internal void. Justin will be showing new original drawings.

Rise Above Dead - Human Disintegration Ep(2010)

Rise Above Dead are a dark, metallic, crusty hardcore band from Italy who play a style of hardcore similar in vein to Cursed, Integrity, Tragedy, From Ashes Rise, and Trap Them. Human Disintegration is Rise Above Dead's debut Ep and the four tracks on this ep do not disappoint. The artwork on this release is amazing! The gatefold cover features artwork by Justin Bartlett who has done album covers for Sunn O))), and Trap Them. Definitely a must for fans of dark, metal tinged hardcore. Great debut guys! Enjoy!

We are finally ready and proud to be part of what we could call one of the best hardcore show in 2010: Circle Fest 2010. We are all great fans of both Carpathian and Ruiner so sharing the stage with them would be really really inspiring for us, thats for sure. During our set we are gonna play songs from "Human Disintegration" together with the old stuff and a brand new one and sure it's gonna be our most intense and face-melting gig ever.
