Before the official download release, this track was the holy grail of PT for many years. Only few people had it.

Porcupine Tree are maybe my favourite band, and Paranoid Android is maybe one of my favourite songs of all time. But these things certainly don't have a likening to each other and Meantime is no exception. Cool tunes though. Like Drown With Me, it works great on it's own and In Absentia is better for it. (As much as I like both of those tunes, neither of them belong on In Absentia to my mind.)

absolutely incredible how every bit that was written during the In Absentia writing sessions beats all other PT material.

sounds very Radiohead-esque, vaguely reminds me of their song Knives Out, good stuff!

I love how this was "too cheerful" for In Absentia yet it's still pretty damn depressing, brilliant though, can't complain as a b-side.

urgh why put out shit like the incident when he can make songs like this

Actually, the song's lyrics fits In Absentia... And the "cheerful" tone make Meantime a darker song.

I was hoping for some sick, undiscovered Gavin Harrison beats. That's not what I got, but hey, I like a lot of Porcupine Tree's B-sides, and this is no exception.

@ kptorrahk, it's available as a payed download at the PT store, it'll cost you like, a euro to get it in high quality FLAC file. So, support the band and get it :)

Totally doesn't fit In Absentia at all, but it stands on its own really well.

It's different... and I f*cking love it <3 Who cares that it doesn't sound like all the other PTsongs? It's about the music itself, right? -_-''

Very different to the usual Porcupine Tree sound. But after a couple of listens it has really grown no me. More like an intermission "jingle" and not a complete song for me though.
