Panther is Charles Byron Salas Humara and Joe Faustin Kelly (Philip Glass Ensemble, Steve Reich ensemble) and occasionally Sara Welker on violin. With the release of their new record 14 kt God (Kill Rock Stars), they have perfectly blended hardcore, psych, dance and bop to create a new genre in what people have been describing as “caustic pop”. Panther has toured constantly and has built a reputation for often playing hectic and confusing live shows. Taking from dreams and random ocd rants, Panther’s lyrics weave in and out of mantras and unhinge into a rhythmic pulsating frenzy leaving the listener bewildered.

There isn't anything to 'understand'. The listener isn't bewildered because they lack the insight to understand the music. They're bewildered because it's random and there's nothing to get. Your music is random. It isn't thoughtful. It's repetitive. I'm fine with your fans self-righteously patting themselves on the back for 'getting' this effortless 'art'. As long as they don't think you're doing anything that requires talent or effort, anyway. Aphex Twin and Squarepusher are amusical too, but some of their songs contain interesting details and nice melodies (for example, Windowlicker and Girl Boy Song.)
