Pailhead was a short-lived side project of the industrial metal band Ministry, which featured Ian MacKaye on vocals, formerly of The Teen Idles and Minor Threat, and currently of Fugazi and The Evens. The band’s sound was a dark combination of menacing industrial beats and hardcore punk, predating what Ministry would later do with Jello Biafra in Lard.
Considering MacKaye’s inadvertent role in the establishment of the straight edge community and Paul Barker and Al Jourgensen’s legendary drug use, it was highly unexpected for them to collaborate.
Pailhead released two records in 1988, their only year as an active band, which were the single „No Bunny“/“I Will Refuse“ (released in both 7“ and 12“ formats) and the 4-song EP Trait, both on the Wax Trax label. The CD edition of Trait also incorporates both sides of the „No Bunny“/“I Will Refuse“ single.
These tracks were later re-released on Ministry’s odds-and-ends compilation Side Trax.

In answer to some of these other shouts: Lard is not Pailhead any more than the Revolting Cocks are Acid Horse. They're different projects. And I don't think Connelly wrote the lyrics for what became I Will Refuse. The early version of that track was later released as Stick on the compilation "Initials C.C." and the only thing similar to the final track is the music. And finally, why the fuck agoth is posting lines from Red Dwarf is beyond me.
