Biografie

Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio ist eine Musikgruppe, die den Musikrichtungen Martial Industrial oder auch Apocalyptic Folk zuzuordnen ist, wobei in letzterer Zeit auch eine relative Hinwendung zu Pop-Strukturen deutlich wurde.
Gegründet wurde die Band ursprünglich unter dem Namen Ordo Equilibrio in Schweden von Tomas Pettersson und Chelsea Krook, welche später durch Rose-Marie Larsen ersetzt wurde.

Bei ihren spärlich gesäten Livekonzerten werden sie darüber hinaus von zahlreichen Gastmusikern unterstützt.

Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio (ORE) is a neofolk and martial industrial music group from Stockholm. The band is composed of its founding member and vocalist Tomas Pettersson, and Rose-Marie Larsen, who replaced Chelsea Krook on backup vocals. Other musicians participate in their live performances.


In 1993, following the discontinuation or Tomas Pettersson’s previous band, Archon Satani, he decided to start a new project. This project was initially called Ordo Equilibrio and joined by Chelsea Krook, his then-girlfriend. Together they made three full length releases and one 7“.

In 2001 the band had a slight change in line-up; Chelsea Krook was gone and replaced by Rose-Marie Larsen. This also spawned a change in the bandname; the word Rosarius was added. The couple has so far released five albums, one 10“ and a split album with Spiritual Front.

    Their biography is so hilariously pretentious. I bet they own leather trenchcoats and like, ten copies of the Satanic Bible. And they probably have a copy of 120 Days of Sodom that they've never actually read but keep on their bookshelf so everyone thinks they're totally cool and edgy. Oh, and they love talking about "fields of rape" and "rape flowers" because lolololol it's funny because the plant's name is rape.

    Ugh, I cannot *stand* the moaning on some of the tracks on "Coctails, Carnage...". It really makes this guy seem like a misogynist. The women do not sound like they're really enjoying themselves, and even if they are it's incredibly irritating when people do this. It doesn't make the atmosphere "sensual" or anything - the music totally lacks this anyway, not that it needs it (precisely my point). They're featured on almost every single track. Basically the females in the band are relegated to this "moaning" role, with a few scarce harmonies. Really, really unbearable and, as I said, gives off a very misogynistic atmosphere, particularly "Regression and the Return to Paradise Extinct", which juxtaposes the pained yelps of these women with dramatic battle sounds. Totally tasteless and spoils the album for me. A few great tracks though, and generally speaking a great group.
