Hello fellow listeners =)

This here is a CD collection I've been working on and off for the last 7+ years.
Future plan is to grab some of my favourite albums on vinyl to put up on the wall.

I think this shows an interesting progression of how my musical tastes have evolved since I started (with Billy Talent and stuff like AFI, going into stuff as late as Blotted Science or Mahavishnu Orchestra) I'm fairly content with it, but there's still loads to be purchased.

It's been a week, but I still haven't gotten satisfaction on this point, and so I'm going to write this journal entry.

I was at a Wye Oak/Explosions in the Sky last week and there were a couple of men standing behind me at the sold-out show having a discussion about Soul Coughing. I am a big fan of Soul Coughing from my latter high school days, and the place was packed, so it was hard not to listen in. The person doing most of the talking was commenting on an ad for Mike Doughty's next performance and saying that he missed Soul Coughing and the former frontman rapping over Sebastian and Yuval's beats (Yuval Gabay, where are you? Wikipedia says drumming for )Asian Dub Foundation). I agree wholeheartedly with this. The man went on to say that M. Doughty's current stylings are not nearly as fun and incisive as his work with Soul Coughing. I agree with this also. Then the guy says, "I want the M. Doughty who wrote El Oso back. He should go back on heroin."
