    I never really worked out where they fitted in to the 70's rock scene. Not heavy rockers, not popsters, rather too glam and I was never totally convinced I liked them but then again I didn't dislike them. Ian Hunter appeared to be a bit of a smart arse but was probably a really nice bloke. I'm still confused 40 years later ! This is a great track though.

    Ahhhh, pre-glam-saved-by-Bowie Mott, the best kind. Saw 'em live plenty, always wild and groovy, bit ragged but totally into it. They could do slower stuff, always the hallmark of a great rock'n'roll band if they have the confidence to get a bit moody. To paraphrase Dylan, Ian Hunter was my last hero because he was my first hero. meant a lot to me at 15/16 and still do
