Biografie

In defying the laws of tradition, Los Angeles based music producer Mono/Poly (born Charles Dickerson) has managed to outstrip the logics of multi-genre producing. Known for his distinct madness of face melting bass, paired with his dreamy astral soundscapes of glitch-based hip-hop, Mono/Poly has proved himself to be a natural phenomenon.

His debut album, The George Machine (EP) was released in the fall of 2009 on Faces Records, which was followed by his first full-length solo album Paramatma (Tastefull Licks) in the spring of 2010. In 2011, Mono/Poly released Manifestations, making a strong debut on the Brainfeeder label, and it continues its heavy rotation being played by the likes of Radiohead, Erykah Badu and Jay Scarlett at BBC Radio’s 1XTRA.

Mono/Poly appears on releases from Warp records and Planet Mu, featured alongside fellow artists Flying Lotus and Nosaj Thing. His gravitational attraction to revolutionary sounds has gained vast recognition among listeners and artists as one of the hottest up-and-coming producers in the world.

Currently, he is working on his latest album that is to be released sometime in mid 2012. Mono/Poly continues to perform his live sets across the globe covering places such as Greece, Switzerland, France and Lithuania, in addition to his touring in the US.
