Tue 3 Jun – Mission of Burma, Shellac
There were about 200 people in the Albéniz, which is pretty good for Gijón, specially being Tuesday, but I don't know if it'll be enough to pay for all the expenses. I hope it was.
MoB gave a show that makes hard to believe they're all about fifty years old now, and that deserved, alone, the 18€ I paid for the ticket. Getting a signed setlist is a bonus too, of course.
Why Mission of Burma reunion doesn't suck big time, according to Roger Miller (words are probably not these, the meaning was):
"Well, most bands start doing great things, and then start going down and becoming bad. When they're bad they split, and then they come together again being bad, that's the problem. We started in 1979 and we split four years later while we were at the top of our quality, so after the reunion we were like that. So in ten years we'll probably suck"
I'm not so sure, but anyway I'm glad of having seem them now, just in case :P
