Marvin is my top musician of all times (got all his albs and more, read "Divided Soul" of David Ritz, got several DVDs...) I tend to consider "Here My Dear" as my favourite album. I have the deluxe version, so there are some other takes of the songs too (especially the funky "time to get it together"). It is so rich and took me some time to get all the nuances but with time I learned to love every single song of this album. Further I have the impression to hear Marvin's development in his music. With this album he took one more step to more funky and groovy arrangements. Fav. tracks: Here My Dear Is That Enough? A Funky Space Reincarnation Time To Get It Together (alt. ext. mix) And the lyrics...."if you ever loved me with all of your heart, you'd never take a million dollars to part", (When Did You Stop Loving Me,...) "When it's flaming HOT" 'from Anger', "...if you trying to break a man, I don't understand...why do I have to pay attorney fees"from "is that enough" and others.

This is Anna's song. That made the album....one of my favorites by him. And if you know the song...you know what makes that song so awesome. I don't think I've ever heard a more personal set of songs in my life. >> For real.

His most amazing work. Personal, vulnerable and brilliant. It felt like I was reading someone's diary, Listening in on a private conversation, walked in on him as he was chainging. I've never heard an entire album with this level of intimacy. And musically it's lush and rich and layered. True perfection.
