Have to agree with crystaltrips, punk should always have been about doing what you wanted, moving forward, trying, experimenting. Some of it, and the immediate post-punk era threw up a lot of great and different sounds, but every movement is gonna have it's conservative side. "I weep for the rebel's conventional ways" (Ian Hunter). This is really good

"I weep at the genre latrine that was/is the punk scene". Indeed Mr Crystaltrips. Magazine always moved forward. Shame about the straight jacket that Punk turned into. Devoto and co were amazing at the Forum last year. Yes I dare say Pudzinski is correct, weeping at a latrine would most likely get you discharged from the military.

Took about five copies of Secondhand Daylight back to the record shop as it kept jumping on this track. Still haven't got a copy.

Weeping in a latrine will get you thrown out of the armed forces...

Real punks: never stood still, never rested on their laurels and always went where they hadn't been before. I weep at the genre latrine that was/is the punk scene.

Moodiest of all Magazine songs, a classic. I can't wait to see the band at the Forum. I wouldn't mind Midge Ure, he's a professional, anyway it's not a democracy. and not up for the vote. Whoever the band decide is OK with me.
