instead of trying to find her own source of blessedness, lucinda favors people around her, mostly strangers, which is just what makes this song wise and stunning. the thrilling humanity, the universal scheme of things adding to the local color adding to the... divine guidance? who brings the flower girl close to the homeless man and the watchmaker after all? deeply moving final section, really beautiful harmony & strong instrumentation. reminds me the last two minutes of "mama you sweet", in power and beauty and awesomeness.
