Biografie
After releasing a fantastic 7″EP/CD on Rivalry in 2004, Killing The Dream made Deathwish their new label home. In 2005, the band released their “I Rewrote It” 7″EP on Deathwish to praise from hardcore kids worldwide.
In early 2005, Killing The Dream travelled to Godcity Studios to record their “In Place Apart” album with Kurt Ballou (Converge). In it’s final form, “In Place Apart” became a moving 12 song journey into the shattered heart and soul of its creators. The album was praised by aggressive music press worldwide as one of the best releases of 2005. The release was even declared “The best hardcore album of the year” by AP.
In support of the release, Killing The Dream played shows all over the U.S. and even toured Japan. Since then, Killing The Dream have played shows locally while focusing on writing their follow up album, “Fractures”.
Since then, Killing The Dream have been hard at work on their newest effort, „Lucky Me“.
Recorded by Zach Ohren and Pat Hills, „Lucky Me“ shows Killing The Dream in the grips of true artistic progression. With „Lucky Me“, Killing The Dream have taken their formulaic metallic hardcore approach and evolved within it. Injecting hook laden melodies deep in their core that bring new dimension and depth to an already impressive sound. „Lucky Me“ shows that a band can grow within, without having to leave themselves or their audience, behind.
