It's already safe to declare that 2011 will be one of the big years in music. I mean you HAVE seen what's been released lately and what is yet to come. And on top of that there's still some of stuff from 2010 that are still making their ways into our shelves...
I'm going to start with the new ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead
album - Tao of the Dead
. It's an album that has only two tracks, sort of. I got the European mediabook edition that has two discs. The first disc has the album on two tracks and the second disc has the sections of the first track divided into several tracks plus a demo of the album. Tao of the Dead is a great album. The band tried a new concept in studio with recording it in a short period with a minimum crew and it results as a spontaneous and agressive yet somehow organized album. The biggest shame is that Kevin Allen isn't in the band anymore, he was such a nice guy.
