Sexta 7 Mai – Johnny Rivers

Eu tinha um certo bode do Johnny Rivers em virtude dos "yeah yeah yeahs" que ele canta ao final de sua versão de "You've lost that lovin' feeling", a melhor música de todos os tempos segundo eu mesmo. Entretanto, superar bodes é um sinal de amadurecimento e evolução, e este bode foi devidamente enterrado. Quem ouve Neil Diamond, Cat Stevens e B.J. Thomas não pode deixar o velho Johnny para trás.

No alto de seus 67 anos bem conservados, Rivers apresentou-se na última sexta em São Paulo para um público de tiozões de espírito jovem, ou jovens de espírito tiozão, no sempre agradável HSBC Brasil, talvez a casa de shows com o melhor som de São Paulo.

Mesmo tendo em vista a faixa etária presente, o formato de "show sentado", sem pista, com mesas que fazem você ter que ver o show de lado, não me agrada. Mesmo que você tenha uma certa idade (e 8 operações e sinta dores, igual o pobre Ronaldo), você vai querer dar uma remexida no esqueleto ao som de clássicos do rockabilly…
