Agreed with @PooScrub. First of all, Fahey didn't invent ragtime guitar. Black blues players did. Second, why do people call everything that is fingerstyle guitar a Fahey ripoff? It's similar to calling every folk singer a Dylan ripoff because Dylan did it first. Fingerstyle guitar is a huge genre with plenty of other players besides Fahey.

So reading the comments, people seem to think that any acoustic track in ragtime/finger pickin style is a John Fahey rip-off? That's a very sad state of affairs, he wasn't the first and he won't be the last to play that style. Jack Rose (R.I.P.) was a hugely talented guitarist in his own right, and for peple to aim cheap shots at him and casually accuse him of being a rip-off is both disrespectful and ignorant.

Yeah but Fahey 'stinks' of speeded up Elizabeth Cotten I think.

Yeah, this song is a huge rip-off of Fahey style, but when you've got inspirations like that, you can't go wrong. Nice song.
