And here we got the album that destroys In Flames legacy, after 5 amazing records put out in 90's... they made this piece of crap.

This album is absolutely brilliant. No ordinary melodeath band can write something as well composed as RTR. (3)

Christian: Still, one song is not enough to call the whole album alternative rock. And on last.fm, people are kind of "religious" in that if they believe a band is a specific genre (ex: Metallica -> thrash metal, Linkin Park -> nu metal, anything Maynard James Keenan is involved in -> progressive rock), they just keep tagging all songs by that artist as that tag. That's why people keep tagging everything In flames does as "melodic death metal/death metal", even the songs that are clean vocals only.

maplefet: Alternative metal sounds much better because its not melodic death metal or death metal. Its really funny because some people tag songs such as Metaphor with death metal, and that song is alternative rock not metal.

"This isn't death metal, melodic death metal, or metal. It's alternative rock at this point." Go check into a mental hospital pls...you fucking don't know what the hell alternative rock is. R.E.M., Pearl Jam, Pixies, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Muse...THAT is alternative rock. You are a braindead metal faggot who thinks anything soft is alternative. Now go fuck yourself.

I have not listened to this album for a long time... and yeah, it's still a very pleasant, solid and catchy album. Obviously not their best, but their best TO DATE. It's so much better than any album they released after. And lol at the guy who called this "alternative rock".
