Death was a stranger von Hlynur Gudjonsson

The story about this ep is easily told. Hlynur was recording his debut album four times as he wasn’t happy with the turnout. There were a lot changes done during the different sessions that took about 11 month in total. Tracklist changing etc.etc. In July he finally felt that things were done but of course that was too late for having the record ready for the tour that started in august. So here he was. The old releases were sold out and so he took four songs from the latest recording session and put together the ‘death was a stranger’ tour ep which he released himself in an edition of 20 copies. ‘The hunting’ and ‘The sun won’t shine’ will (possibly) appear on the forthcoming album, the other two songs are outtakes from it.

Hlynur about ‘death was a stranger’: „Personally the song ‘death was a stranger’ does mean a lot to me. Unfortunatelly I don’t see a way that it fits the other songs that will be on the album. Therefor I am quite happy that it is available on this ep at least.“
