Greydon Square (born Eddie Collins on September 28, 1981) is an American hip hop artist. He is a veteran of the Iraq War and an outspoken atheist who promotes discussion on philosophical issues, as well as studying physics full time.
Collins, grew up in Compton, California, where he was raised as an orphan and became immersed in gang culture. In May 2001, he enlisted in the United States Army. He went on to serve in the Iraq War in March 2004. After returning from Iraq, Collins began attending college in Phoenix, Arizona as a physics major. It was at this time that he began questioning his prior religious beliefs and became an outspoken atheist, posting videos on YouTube. He has appeared in several television documentaries and radio shows, and his music has attracted fans such as Penn Jillette and Richard Dawkins. He is also a member of the international secular hip-hop activist movement, The Anti-Injustice Movement (aka The AIM) and may be planning a UK tour.
Collins has been expressing himself through rap under his stage name of Greydon Square since 2001. Among his influences are Phil Collins, DJ Quik, Dr Dre, Quincy Jones, Stanley Clarke, Cedric Williams, and The Bee Gees. His first album, Absolute, was released in 2004 and is no longer available. His first album The Compton Effect, was released in 2007 after much delay.

I did not know Chris Bosh was a rapper. lol Anyways, I never heard of this guy. His beats are okay, and his flow if good, but damn I love his subject matter. I too reject any and all organized religion as he does. Lots of powerful lyrics flow from this cat.

Refreshing to see an rapper not only being a outspoken free thinker, but at the same time mock other rappers at the same fucking time. Is there anything else I could love about this man?

Even though his beats aren't too interesting, I have to respect a guy who takes a largely visceral genre and turns it into something more intellectual.

Geydon's - Prison Planet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4T2Bdrp_pM is my currently favourite Hip-Hop track ever, along with 2pac's - Starin' through my rear view http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X203WIT3mYk (Legendary. I used to blast this when I was in the army(which was like prison for me anyway)) I would be glad to find more tracks like these.

listening to Galaxy Rise.. . and i gotta say, not many hiphop songs (or songs of ANY genre) mention Schrödinger's Cat, the concept of self-similarity, fractals, black holes or quantum fluctuations. all in one verse too! absolutely love this stuff. though i've heard GZA is making an album called "Dark Matter" and it's gonna be all science-y too...
