Interviewer: Did you walk away? Blaise Bailey Finnegan III: Yes I did... I don't like the judicial system, I don't like the government system, I don't like the police, I don't like anything to do with this country's government. I just don't like it, because... they're sneaky, like I said - they're deceitful, they're lying, they're cheats, they rip people off. That's the American government for you. America is a third world country, and people don't recognise it... and I think that that's pretty god damn sad, that they don't recognise their own country as a third world, third rate, third class slum.

GYBE are lefties, they put the nutjob in BBF3 to show how ignorant/depressing/omnious they find him and his views, and to set the apocalyptic mood of the song. It's definitely not meant to be any kind of endorsement.

I don't really think they put the guy from BBF3 there to be taken seriously. While you can share some of his feelings, the angst and the chaotic way of delivering it and also claiming lyrics from an Iron Maiden song to be his own poem can pretty much get you to considering him an idiot and full of crap. Which probably was GYBE's intent. And as with (any) country being plagued by the political and business elite, it's probably also plagued by people as this guy, thinking of themselves as highly intelligent human beings and not giving a damn about anyone else. And what I love about this EP is how the guy I'm considering crazy by now intertwines with music that beautiful. It's likely a contrast the band tried to depict, and sort of a sonical catharsis for the listener, y'know.

Some people say that our generation is lost and full of trash. This is a tribute to those who believes that we can be proud of what we have and fight against nostalgic feelings. This is art, this is full of blood and passion!

The ancient greeks used to use the word Catharsis meaning to purge your emotions, a device used in their drama and art. I always relate this EP to that, the epic build ups and dynamics always leaving me breathless
