Whatever happened to...

Emmanuel Carella I never understood why the Australian public didn't embrace him. He was good looking (!!!) and had such damn catchy tunes! It's career fails such as his which make me believe BMG Australia can't do their jobs. Had his album been released after his first two singles I think it would of been more successful. And would it have killed them to put him in some teenager magazines? He is such an amazing singer and songwriter and deserved so much more.
Rob Mills Another great example of Australia's lack of appreciation for good pop tunes. Sure most girls loved him for his looks and larrikin nature but his album wasn't that bad! Maybe if the songs they gave him weren't obviously playing on the fact he was a 'ladies man' he might of been considered a more credible artist.
Mercury 4 I wish they'd had success just so Australia could have a boy band tbh. It's sad that home-grown music can't succeed in it's own country. There singles were all good tunes, I guess they just weren't pretty looking enough.

How varied is your music taste?
21. Mär. 2010, 4:56 von flojera
First, make a list of your top-20 artists overall. Then, for each of these artists, add the 8 most similar artists to your list. Delete any duplicates, count up the number of entries on your list and this will give you some idea of how eclectic your listening habits are. A score of 9 represents an extremely unvaried musical taste while a 160 represents an extremely varied one.
Football, Prince of Tennis and final fantasy x aren't artists that's why I've not counted them in the top 20.

Cropping Artist Images for the Library
24. Aug. 2009, 12:24 von fmera
Following up on the earlier journal, Getting Artist Images to Look Their Best, here is a short guide to explain how images (be they square, tall, or wide) that you upload to artist galleries are cropped for eventual use in the library.
I'll use these images (taken from Simone Kopmajer's gallery) as a visual guide to show how your original artist pics will end up looking as library images. It works on the idea that cropping images square or tall - if your original shots allow this - really is the safer option, as they minimize further cropping when your images are processed. Shown below are three sample images, in square, tall, and wide formats, and beside them the actual 126s images used for the library. The translucent red masking shows where image content will be lost (or hidden from view, rather), and the window is what you'll end up with in the library:
